The Common Bard was founded with the intention of making classical theatre and literature more accessible to a wider audience. As a new company, we are interested in exploring Shakespearean texts in a more current and modern setting, as well as adapting other classical literature for performance; all together creating new work for the stage. Our work aims to keep audiences entertained, alongside being a subtle reflection of current affairs taking place within the world; asking questions, as well as attempting to answer them.
